Gummy smile treatment - FAQ
Treating the hyperactive muscle with anti-wrinkle injections relaxes it, preventing the top lip from lifting. After the doctor has diagnosed the area, they will inject the anti-wrinkle treatment into the muscle using very fine needles.
The treatment will begin to take effect 2-3 days after your procedure. Within 1-2 weeks, you should see the completed results. Some minor bruising and swelling may occur, but will subside within 2-3 days.
It is recommended to avoid excess sun exposure, solariums, saunas and exercise 2-3 days after your treatment to not affect your results.
Your muscle relaxant treatment will last between 4-6 months. At this point the product will naturally dissolve into the body.
